Fancy a stroll around the Qatar Villagio
The Villagio department store in Qatar was officially opened in the 2000s and was developed by His Royal Majesty Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad. It grew into a fully integrated outlet complex, with a specialised shopping mall section of a hundred and twenty thousand sqm and has turned into the most popular spot in Qatar for incredible luxury brands including Christian Dior, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. One of the stand out attributes is the Venetian-style interiors, detailed with gondolas and waterways.
On top of buying clothes and food, site visitors can enjoy the Gondolania amusement park for young children of any age, an inside giant ice skating rink and a thirteen screen deluxe movie theatre. The amusement park includes children’s roller coasters, bumper cars, cutting edge 12-lane bowling, Go Kart racing, terror street ride, Sky loop, a 4D theatre, billiard tables, and the hottest arcade games.
Regarding food, site visitors can choose from their chosen international and local junk food labels housed in the food court, or find something to their liking in other cafes since there are a variety of restaurants, cafes, and an outstanding Thai eating place. One of the greatest is the Butcher Grill and Shop which delivers such delights as beef carpaccio, sticky chicken wings and the egg, bacon and beef burger.
One of the most distinctive aspects is the indoor Venetian waterway, going through the heart of the department store. Visitors can go on gondolas and make their way around the mall, whilst they kick back and take it easy. Not your typical shopping experience! There are bridges spanning the waterway and the cozy chairs around the walkways to rest ones feet, or take pleasure in the intimate and quaint street lights lining the waterway, under the man-made heavens.
The retail complex is one of the most unusual shopping hotspots in the GCC region and the architectural flourishes combined with an unrivaled array of retail, entertainment and dining venues makes it an exceptional and unforgettable selling point in Doha, Qatar.
The shopping mall is positioned between the Sport City and Hyatt Plaza on Al Waab Street of Doha. The Villagio shopping mall is the latest retail centre in Doha, and is also hoped to be one of the biggest malls. Abdul Aziz Mohamed Al-Rabban is the owner of the mall and it is managed by Tzoulios Tzouliou. Merchandising businessman Wissam Al Mana just recently stated that he would be opening up a leading A/X Exchange there to go with other brand names such as Berksha, Michael Kors and Boggi. There are also a range of sportswear brand names in the department store, such as Adidas, Puma and Reebok.
